What do we offer?
One of the reasons we love our work is because everyday is different and we are always being asked to do the unexpected! We offer a range of Play in One Day and drama workshops that your school can use to introduce, enliven or conclude your topic. Our workshops can be used to fit your schools needs on an off timetable day, within a PSHE or English lesson, to enhance your transition summer school or as a longer term project. Have a look at our available workshops or give us a ring to discuss how we can help.
Rehearsing all day with our professional director your class create a 15-minute play about a topic of your choice and share the learning with other classes and/or parents at the end of the school day. All participants are actively involved using inventive theatre techniques such as choral speech, stylised movement and mime. Each pupil has a speaking part as a character or narrator – lines are given orally and/or pupils are encouraged to explore the play through their own words making the day suitable for pupils of all abilities. A Play in One Day is great for enhancing knowledge of a subject, teamwork and communication skills. For more details see our Play in One Day FAQ’s page.
Our drama workshops are 1.5 hours long and are based on various curriculum topics. We give pupils the information they need to learn about the topic and pupils act on that information by exploring it through drama games and activities. These drama workshops are used to make topics more accessible and to make learning more enjoyable and memorable.
