Taking bookings now for our Shakespeare Tour of A Midsummer Nights Dream – March 2019!
We love Shakespeare and in particular we love helping young people to understand just why Shakespeare’s plays are still relevant today. Love and hate, magic and the supernatural, tricks and jokes, murder and madness, what’s not to love about Shakespeare and his amazing plays?!
Option two: Act On Shakespeare
A practical drama workshop where all children are on their feet taking part in drama games and techniques to learn about Shakespeare plays. This workshop which challenges pupils to:
· Become the characters and discover their motivations
· Examine the themes of the play
· Explore the rich and vibrant language and it’s rhythm
· Ask questions and give their opinion of the play
· Generate ideas for creative writing and further study.
This workshop can be used as a practical introduction to the topic, a way of exploring a play in more detail or as an exciting way to conclude the topic.
